Sicherheit als Wirtschaftsfaktor und Innovationsmotor

Vor dem Hintergrund einer sicherheits- und industriepolitischen Zeitenwende hat die Industriellenvereinigung (IV) heute die Ergebnisse der Taskforce Security & Defence Industry vorgestellt. Ziel der Initiative ist es, die Rahmenbedingungen für industrielle Kooperationen im Sicherheits- und Verteidigungsbereich zu verbessern und Österreich als starken Standort im europäischen Sicherheitsökosystem zu positionieren.

Die IV-Taskforce wurde am 3. April 2025 vom IV-Bundesvorstand eingesetzt, um konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen zu erarbeiten, wie Österreich seine industrielle Souveränität, technologische Resilienz und sicherheitspolitische Handlungsfähigkeit stärken kann. Unter dem Vorsitz von Mag. Erwin Hameseder, Generalanwalt des Österreichischen Raiffeisenverbandes, und KR Ing. Wolfgang Hesoun, Vorsitzender des IV-Infrastrukturausschusses haben sich über 65 Unternehmen eingebracht – von Industrie und Energie über Finanzwirtschaft bis hin zu Forschung und Technologie.

Schiebel’s latest product, the CAMCOPTER S-300, was showcased for the first time during ADEX 2025 in Seoul, South Korea. The airframe on display at the airshow was the first pre-production unit.

A poster display by Hanwha Systems at ADEX 2025 read: “The [S-300] Shipborne Unmanned Aerial System will be deployed to the Navy and Marine Corps in 2028, performing missions to detect early signs of hostility or provocations by enemy or neighboring states using both EO/IR cameras and SAR”.

A Schiebel source said the airframe on display at the ADEX 2025 is the first pre-production unit. “It has already been through a flight test campaign in Austria and will undergo extensive trials in the Republic of Korea” the source added.

Naval News understands the S-300 will soon begin a test flight campaign in Southern France.
