Drei Logistikbataillone werden mit den neuen Protected Evacuation Vehicles (PEV) ausgestattet. Diese sind an das Programm SCORPION angepasst und bestehen aus einem 8x8-Sattelschlepper und einem Tiefladeanhänger. Die Kabine ist mit einem ABC-Schutzsystem ausgerüstet und hat ein vergleichbares Schutzniveau wie der "Dingo 2". Das erste PEV wird im vierten Quartal 2023 geliefert.
Die neuen geländegängigen Sattelschlepper werden die bestehenden wegegängigen Sattelschlepper Mercedes-Benz ACTROS mit Heavy Evacuation Trailer FAYMONVILLE und SCANIA mit Schwerlastanhängern LOHR (SOFRAME SMC - Military tank-carrier semi-trailer) nicht ersetzen, sondern ergänzen.

DAF receives new order from Belgian Defence
Following on from its previous order for 879 all-wheel drive CF Military trucks, the Belgian Defence has placed a new order at DAF for 9 heavy tractor/trailer combinations for the safe and swift recovery of vehicles in zones of operations and conflict. The vehicles are scheduled to be delivered in 2024.
The order is for complete combinations consisting of four-axle and all-wheel driven CF Military tractors and thee-axle, extendable flatbed semi-trailers from Broshuis. The tractors will be fitted with a state-of-the-art armoured cab that offers maximum protection to the occupants when transporting and evacuating vehicles during military operations.

Der belgische Ministerrat hat diese Woche die Beschaffung von dreizehn zusätzlichen PEV genehmigt:
Sur proposition du ministre de la Défense Theo Francken, le Conseil des ministres a marqué son accord sur la passation de cinq marchés publics pour la Défense.

DAF receives follow-up order from Belgian army (21. Juli 2025)
DAF Trucks has received an additional order from the Belgian army for 13 more heavy-duty tractor-trailer combinations. This order follows a previous contract for 888 trucks, the last of which will be delivered this year.
Based on their proven reliability and unmatched off-road capabilities, the Belgian army is now ordering 13 more of these PEVs (Protected Evacuation Vehicles).
The new order also includes complete combinations, consisting of four-axle CF Military tractors with all-wheel drive (8x8) and three-axle extendable low loaders from Broshuis. The tractors are equipped with the latest generation of armored cabs, offering optimal protection for occupants during the transport or evacuation of vehicles in military operations.
The recovery vehicles, of which Belgian Army has now ordered 13 more, are powered by the 12.9-liter PACCAR MX-13 engine delivering 340 kW/460 hp. The advanced armored cabs are supplied by TATRA ARMY VEHICLES.
